SmartText Keyboard uses Apple Intelligence, which requires:

  • iPhone 15 Pro / iPhone 15 Pro Max or later
  • Apple Intelligence must be enabled

Setup Guide

Enable Apple Intelligence

Go to Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri and enable Apple Intelligence

Open Keyboard Settings

Go to Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards

Add Keyboard

Tap "Add New Keyboard" and select "SmartText Keyboard"

Enable Full Access

Tap "SmartText Keyboard" in the list and turn on "Allow Full Access"

Start Using

When typing, tap the globe icon to switch to SmartText Keyboard

Note: Full Access is required to retrieve text from other apps and perform AI functions. All processing is done on-device using Apple Intelligence, and no data is ever sent to our servers.

Q: Why is iPhone 15 Pro or later required?

A: SmartText Keyboard uses Apple Intelligence, which is only available on iPhone 15 Pro and later devices. Apple Intelligence ensures all AI processing is performed securely on your device.

Q: How do I check if Apple Intelligence is enabled?

A: Go to Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri and make sure Apple Intelligence is turned on. If enabling for the first time, a download may be required.

Q: Why is Full Access required?

A: Full Access is needed to retrieve text entered in other apps and perform AI functions (translation, proofreading, AI questions). Without this permission, the keyboard cannot process your text. Rest assured, we do not collect or transmit any of your data.

Q: How many times can I use the free version?

A: Free users can use AI features up to 10 times per day. The counter resets at midnight (local time) each day. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited use with a one-time purchase.

Q: Is my data secure?

A: Yes! All AI processing is performed entirely on-device using Apple Intelligence. Your text and processing results are never uploaded to any server.

Q: The keyboard doesn't appear. What should I do?

A: Check that SmartText Keyboard is added in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards. If it's already added, try restarting your device. If the issue persists, remove the keyboard and add it again.

Q: How do I use the OCR feature?

A: The OCR feature is exclusive to the Pro version. After upgrading to Pro, tap the OCR button on the keyboard to select a photo and extract text from the image.

Q: Can I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?

A: Yes! Open the app and tap "Restore Purchase" to restore your Pro status on any device signed in with the same Apple ID.
